Mobinil and Nokia Launch Nokia Messaging Service

The Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (Mobinil), Egypts leading mobile operator, is allying with Nokia, the world giant in mobility, to further boost Mobinils ongoing efforts to bring the latest mobile communications services to its 25 million subscribers, Mobinil and Nokia announced today.

In a press conference held today in Cairo, Nokia and Mobinil announced the launch of "Nokia Messaging, an innovative e-mail and instant messaging service, which enables Mobinil subscribers and Nokia customers to effectively use mobile messaging services in an easy, secure and affordable manner.

Nokia Messaging is an innovative Push email and instant messaging service that enables Mobinil and Nokia users to effectively use mobile messaging services in an easy, secure and affordable manner. The service allows customers to reply to, forward, send and receive e-mails instantly once they are in the customers mail inbox, in addition to uploading and viewing e-mail attachments. The service enables the customer to configure up to 10 e-mail accounts from any Post Office Protocol (POP), or Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) account; such as, Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Gmail and Ovi Mail. Customer can also chat with friends over Window Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, GTalk, AIM, ICQ, and Ovi contacts easily on the move using Nokia smart phones.
